Some people signing up for Hero on the web are asked to book a short onboarding call with someone from our team before they get started. This article covers booking a time, what happens while you wait, and how to join.
Availability
This applies to new sign-ups on the web. Existing accounts are unaffected.
Book a time
Sign up for Hero as usual.
A scheduler appears with the times available. Pick the one that suits you.
Confirm the booking. You'll get a calendar invitation by email with the meeting details.
Your booking is saved to your account rather than to the browser you happened to use, so it's still there if you sign in from another device or come back later.
Before your session
When you open Hero before your session, you'll see the time you booked.
Join the session from the meeting link in your calendar invitation. That link is the one to use; Hero doesn't show a separate join button.
Shortly before the session starts, Hero reminds you, both on the page and as a browser notification if you allow them, and points you to the link in your calendar invitation.
Change or rebook
Use the rescheduling link in your calendar invitation to move your session.
Booking a different time replaces your earlier appointment — you won't end up holding two.
If the time you booked is confirmed again with a small change, Hero updates the time it shows you rather than creating a second booking.

Do I have to take the call?
Where this is switched on, booking a session is part of getting started. The session is short and is there to get you set up.
What if I miss it?
Book another time using the rescheduling link in your calendar invitation.
I booked, but Hero doesn't show it.
Reload Hero and make sure you're signed in to the same account you signed up with. If it still doesn't appear, the details in your calendar invitation are correct and you can join from there.
