Hero says an update is required — what do I do?
If your copy of the desktop app is too old to keep working with Hero, the app shows a full-screen Update required message with a download link. Use that link to get the current version, then reopen Hero — it also checks for an update on its own as soon as the message appears. You can check for updates at any time from Check for Updates… in the Hero menu, next to the Apple menu.
What if a desktop app update fails to install?
Hero retries automatically a few times. If it still can't install, you'll see a notification with a Retry button — click it to try again. If the notification instead says Hero doesn't have permission on your machine to complete the update, contact support; that's the one case Hero can't resolve on its own.
How do I send my desktop app logs to support?
Open the Help menu and choose Download Logs…. Hero packages your logs into a file in your Downloads folder and shows it to you in Finder — the confirmation dialog gives you the support email address to send it to. This works even if you can't sign in.
